Nov. 6th, 2004 02:55 pmWe went to the International Festival and proceeded to eat our way around the world. Mrs. CB started with samosa (not Samoas...they are Girl Scout cookies) from a Pakistani booth. I hit the Mediterranian booth and walked away with a veggie platter that consisted of hummus, pita, falafel, sliced veggies and tabbouleh. Mrs CB took the tabbouleh-the fresh parsley is a potential migraine trigger and I realized it only after taking a bite. Damn head!
We continued through the displays and picked up Veggie fried rice, veggie egg roll, Bubble tea (a cold chai drink with rice bubbles), Scandinavian Salmon Chowder (for Mrs CB...I HATE fish!), Macedonian Custard Cake and my new favorite, Filipino Sweet Rice. I got two more seet rice(es?) and a Scandinavian coffee bread to go.
We enjoyed checking out the crafts and wares for sale. Last year I bought two CDs from a Chilean Panpipe group...very soothing. This year, I stopped at a "Save the Rhino" foundation and bought a "Save a Horny Friend T-shirt." I won't be wearing that one to work. I also came across the best homeade bracelet evah!
I am not one for wearing bracelets, but I'll make an exception for this one. Check it out:
It's fucking PINK!!
And shit...I am STILL hungry!
