Shit! Ivan the Terrible has caused our Atlanta facility to close and they are shipping 800 additional micro specimens to our branch tonight. This means that I have surrendered my usual 3-day weekend and will be arriving at the Hell Lab, with a fucking smile on my face, at 5:00 am tomorrow. It's OT, and it always looks good to do something like this near your annual evaluation date. Mother Cabenson did not raise fools..except for my sister.

Bad thing is, I just got my shipment from Amazon. SVU season 5 DVD's and the new Patricia D. Cornwell novel. And it's supposed to rain, storm and be generally craptastic tomorrow. A perfect day to stay at home, skip the shower and eat Oreos. Shit! Note to self: NO more volunteering to come in on your days off!!

Also, I have decided the only good thing about living in the Midwest is the lack of hurricanes. Except that now there's suspicion that they might send tornadoes, something something weather science something.

I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but the new Cornwell book isn't worth the time. That woman can't end a book to save her life. The bad endings started with Unnatural Exposure. My friends and I actually use the phrase "Cornwelled the ending" to describe a book or movie with a bad ending. I'll be interested to hear what you think of the book.

I'll get back to ya when I finish. I haven't enjoyed her last few books as much as I'd hoped...keep thinking "This one will be better". And I HATED the last one. "Blow Fly" blew all right.
