The one where we protested

Yesterday, Mrs. CB and I joined a few hundred people in the freezing rain as part of a national protest against the passing of California's Prop 8. I am not an activist, at all- that is more of the wife's kind of thing than mine, but I did make signs and I did participate because it is important. So we rallied, and we chanted and we sang. It felt pretty damn good. Pic spam below:

Me and mine...I couldn't resist and was surprised at the amount of outrage people displayed over axing the storyline and actress. This ain't over ABC!

Got a nasty chest cold from being out-probably not too smart on my part with this undiagnosed breathing issue I continue to have.

Our holiday schedules are out and I managed to get a 4-day Thanksgiving weekend followed by a 5-day Christmas weekend. Haha.

Chili on the stove and movies in the DVR. Wife is grading and the boys are snuggling. I may grab a nap.

Well done, peeps. :) Glad neither of you got arrested, and Mrs. CB got a chance to sing, so it's about as good a protest as can be!

Yay for you. There was even a protest here in my little southern city, but I didn't know about it until today.

About the Hahn thing, I read somewhere the actress had it put in her contract that she'd get paid twice as much if her character ended up being gay because she didn't want to play a lesbian. If that's true, I'd think the actress would deserve as much outrage as the network. Of course, I don't know if it's true.

Where did you read that? Considering she played a lesbian on stage I seriously doubt that is true.

was chatting with my professor a day or so after prop 8 was passed and she thought I'd be all up in arms about it. I truthfully told her that I was more pissed at ABC for booting Hahn because quite frankly, prop 8 will just be overturned.
I did go to the protest at City Hall on saturday in NYC and I did volunteer with MENY because I'm just over institutionalized discrimination.

I wasn't able to go since I was Workin For The Man, but I did check out the articles in the local paper from the Philadelphia gathering. w00t!
