I'm trying to make this post when I haven't had any coffee in almost 48 hours, so bear with me.

Can I just say that fever-induced dreams are WOW! out there? Two days ago I thought for sure the mustang planes that had been in town over the weekend were crashing into each other only to wake in a panic to a thunderstorm. And just now, I was dreaming that Mrs. CB and I were on a camping trip with both our families...in downtown Manhattan.

The fever is due to a viral infection of the flu variety (GET YOUR SHOTS!!!)but is not actually Teh Flu. Whatever it is, it's bad enough that the doctor ordered me to "not work out" and to stay home from work until 24 hours after my fever has broken "getting rest!" With the exception of the few hours I tried to work yesterday morning (my boss tried to send me home twice) and the time it took to go see the doc, I have pretty much been in bed since Saturday evening. Good news is my BP was MUCH lower and I've lost 7 pounds in the last 2 months (without working out, thank you excessive heat).

My fever has slowly dropped from 102.2F to a measly 99.3F this morning. And that's still not high enough to make that crack-ass SVU any better last night. I admit I have found a character I hate more than Casey - Chester, go back to Brooklyn or the Bronx or wherever you came from. I didn't like you last season, I sure don't like you now.

Tomorrow is Mrs. CB's birthday and I'm too tired to go out and get her a card. I wonder if we have any crayons... Maybe I could cut pictures of hot chicks and kittie cats from magazines and gluestick them on some construction paper.

I grabbed Annie Lennox's new CD for Mrs. CB's bday gift-she will have to give us a full report when she listens to it. I like "Dark Road"-may become an Olivia vid down the road.

MamaCB is coming for the weekend. I hope she's bringing me a few cans of energy so I can keep up with her and Mrs. CB. We're supposed to go to the RenFest and I may sleep the whole way there, but maybe it will rain and we can then tempt her with a trip to Costco which is only 10 minutes away. Still, Steak-on-a-Stake is something everyone should experience. She's really coming to see how Artemis is doing (which is splendid, btw). I told her that the way he licked his fur away before he got sick makes it look like he's had a Brazilian.

Okay, enough about me, what's shaking with you?

Brownies! Yum.

Good luck making it through the Ren Faire. I used to live very close to the one in Minnesota, it was always a lot of fun. But I imagine less so when you are just coming off being sick. Feel better!
