Funerals and Manifesto update
Nov. 15th, 2009 10:00 amFirst I want to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and prayers regarding the loss of our nephew, Billy. And a special thanks to our "Elder" friends for just being who you are.
The last 30 hours have been difficult, but we are both past the point of spontaneous crying and moving toward accepting what has happened. Of course the spontaneous crying will return a) as soon as Mrs. CB arrives at her family's this morning and b) when I get to work tomorrow- a coworker was crying on the phone with me yesterday when I called to get the boss's number.
Mrs CB was actually able to sleep most of the night, which surprised me, and I managed a few hours myself. I kept waking up though and his name was always there...and now the tears are returning. One of these days, I'm going to tell you my thought on this guy. Just not right now.
I sent Mrs. CB off with baked rigatoni, Italian sweet bread, brownies and gingerbread. When I am upset, I cook and clean. We now have a clean kitchen and that 3 ft pile of mail I was hoarding has been reduced to a 2" pile of magazines. I even vaccuumed the rugs!
Now it's time to grab a shower then start getting my stuff ready for the funeral. I am working tomorrow then heading up Tuesday morning. Funeral is Wed and we'll both head back on Thurs.
Also, in regards to the Otalia Ship Manifesto-
It is in the editing phase- I was working on it when I had a computer crash earlier this week and no sooner got back to it when we lost our nephew. It will be posted, but probably not until next month. Thank you for your patience.
