Hope everyone who celebrates had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving weekend! We have had a pretty relaxing one considering I worked and Mrs CB travelled, but it was the most fun we have had in a few months, so we are keeping it :)

We started out Tues night with our annual trek downtown to see our friends, both human and felt, in the PuppetQueers production of "Knotty Bits". Before we got there, we walked down to grab a bite and vcame across the best hotel in the south end of Columbus. Seriously, look what they offer:

And no, I didn't do that.

The show was fun and filthy and I felt a load lift off my shoulders for the first time in several weeks. We also introduced ourselves to a couple flavored bourbons: Jim Beam's Red Stag (Dr. Pepper Bourbon!!!) and Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon- very smooth! I know what our stocking stuffers will be this year.

I had to work Thanksgiving day, and Mrs CB was up at her sister's, so we kinda started OUR holiday weekend when she got home late Friday morning. But before she got home, we had our first snow of the year!!!

A dusting on my car

Our new holly has snowy berries

Up close for you old bitches that won't wear your glasses

I made a roast in the crock on Wed night, so I warmed it up, threw on a pot of potatoes, added some fresh mushrooms to my broth and made gravy. Heated up some leftover dressing and viola! By noon we had full plates and full glasses- Uncle Dick's Sparkling Shiraz! We watched The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor while I ate a sampler plate of desserts: homeade pineapple upside-down cake, peach pie, brownies, bourbon pecan pie and good old pumpkin pie. Of course we both needed naps afterwards. Greyson was all up in our grills about being home on a workday:

"Why you in my bidnez, biznatch?"

Smokey was completley indifferent:

"Sigh...just get my good side and move along, servant"

and Bruin just didn't want anyone to take his spot:

"Don't even think about it!"

That evening I finished reading "The Scarpetta Factor" and realised just how much I miss reading real books. As soon as I get the Otalia Manifesto done (more info on that below) I am taking a break from the fandom world and catching up on real world TV and books. I even started a wish-list on B&N.com to help Mrs. CB and her family figure out what to get me for Christmas. Yay technology!

Yesterday was gorgeous so we hit the outdoor mall at Easton. Love that place!

Christmas carols by sexaphone saxaphone!!!

We hit Barnes and Noble for the 85 million parents I have and the nieces and nephews, then Brio for lunch (YUM!!), then the Buckeye store for Rose Bowl shirts (yay OSU) for all my Buckeye loving parents, then we decided to see 2012. The perfect combination of every disaster/end of the world film out there! Not a strong story, but the disaster pr0n was worth it. After that, I picked up my Xmas gift to myself: PS2 Band Hero. Got it hooked up, have no idea how to make it all work. Looks like I need a tween as Bruin was no help!:

We watched the first two parts of TNT's "The Librarian" trilogy- lots of fun! We really enjoy these type of smart, adventurous movies. And Sonya Walger from FF and Lost was in the first, so BONUS!!! Got the third one for this afternoon,Yay!

I am starting off the day with Mrs. CB's potato pancakes and eggs, then I am gonna work on the Otalia Manifesto. The main body of the essay is complete- I just need to add pics and code for LJ. The ep guide is about 1/4 of the way done and will need a quick beta- it's rather massive. Hope to have it posted before everyone breaks the Venice site this Friday.

And that is our weekend :)
