Feb. 27th, 2011 10:25 amI have been getting my social on. For those that don't know, I am a homebody. Especially in the winter. I am much more comfortable spending time off at home with the wife and boys than going out or anything.I'd rather watch sporting events on my big screen TV with my own bathroom than attend in person. I blame it on my back, but the truth is, I think I am just a hermit. And I hate to wear pants that don't have a drawstring. And a bra.
But, I am getting better!
Friday night I took the wife to Vino Vino for dinner (food pr0n to come!) before we met friends to see an OSU production of the play "Spring Awakening". What a depressing play! I think that MAYBE the musical MIGHT have been more enjoyable, but I highly doubt it. But we did enjoy hanging out with our buds and had we not all been so exhausted, may have engaged in post-production drinks and debate.
Yesterday I returned to hermitville when the wife went to visit her sister. I did watch all 6 eps of the Spartacus prequel, "Gods of the Arena. Starz really has a grasp on these period pieces. The storytelling has you on the edge of your seat and the hotness that is Lucy Lawless and Jaime Murray...well, you'll have to see for yourself.
I also watched the first ep sneak peek of Starz "Camelot". It was a little slow, but then, so was Sparty. Looking forward to seeing that series when it begins in April.
It was rather cool here yesterday and I could not get warm. More likely a result of my thyroid than the weather, but I felt that I needed to make brownies in order to warm up again. Dark chocolate brownies, part of the batch with whole Oreos immersed...yum!
Now I am waiting for Mrs CB to get home. She should get here just as the OSU women start their last game, which I will watch on my big screen TV with my own bathroom around the corner. With pajama pants on. And no bra. Enjoy that mental image.
