cabensonI'm on day 3 of my four-day weekend. Makes working last weekend SO worth it. In May, it appears that I will be exchanging my Mondays off for Fridays off. It will be just like it was before I started this job five years ago. Can't believe it has been that long already. That means that soon Helen Stewart will be paid off...my car, people, my car. I bought her a few months after I started the job.
This past week,I worked mith my manager and the lab manager on creating a video of their powerpoint presentation. They were very vocal with their appreciation for not only the tech skills I brought but also helping them create the narrative. Hopefully this will bode well with my review next month. I would trade a new position for a sizable raise ANY day.
Mrs CB and I have decided to have a Stay-cation this summer. We are thinking about reading and relaxing as well as checking out some restaurants in town that we have been dying to try. I already have a stack of books lined up. We may even put the pool up on the back patio.

ralst is having an Unfinished Business Challenge to celebrate 10 years of Passion and Perfection.I know PLENTY of you probably have stuff sitting on your hard drives, waiting for a reason to be completed. This is your opportunity to get it done!
I have several unfinished projects to choose from, but I think I have narrowed it down to completing one of the following:
1. The Dating/Destruction of Callie and Hahn which is the sequel to The Gaying of Callie and Hahn- Callie/Erica, Grey's anatomy
2. Updating the Ship Manifesto The Case of the Butch and the Blonde and completing the Hoyay Hal of Fame- Alex/OLivia, L&O:SVU. This would require watching those last eps when Cabot came back and they used her character so badly. It may be to painful to complete.
3. Working on Progression which would probably involve, at a minimum, re-writing the last part of Chapter 2. Who leaves a couple hanging over CHEESEBURGERS?!!!!
So, thoughts?
Have you missed pics of our boy Greyson and Food Pron? Then I have a small sample to tide you over til I have more time:
This is Greyson sniffing the pretty roses his short mama brought home. Greyson LOVES flowers...
He especially loves to try and nom them. We know how dangerous flowers and plants can be to felines, so we rarely have them in the house. When we do, we put them up high and he often sits on the floor, staring longingly.
Now for an interesting food concept. I have a coworker who creates chocolate and baked goodies as a second career. She is always experimenting and we are usually lucky enough to be her test subjects. This is her most recent concept:
"What the hell IS that?" you ask..
A chocolate covered JALAPENO!!! I brought it home for Mrs CB cause She LOVES the spicy stuff.
Yup...good thing I didn't bring home the chocolate covered Habanero!!

Chocolate covered jalapeno? No. That might even be more disturbing than chocolate covered cheese.
