Fire is bad, m'kay?

cabensonHope everyone had a good weekend. I spent more time up and about this weekend than I have in months. It felt good, but as always, I was tempted to do things I know I am not ready to do. At least Mrs. CB knows better. Today is a "rest" day, per her wishes to not keep repeating this back thing every 2 years. And yet, I am still up.
We went shopping Saturday so I could spend the b-day gift cards and cash that have been burning holes in my pockets. I grabbed Season 7, 8, and 9 of The X-Files while Mrs CB picked up Season 2 of Millennium and a Lillithfair DVD. (I never made it to Lillithfair. Do I still get to keep my dyke card?)
Sunday was just beautiful. Sunny, just warm enough, and a nice breeze. I made up some Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs and decided to grill them out doors. Eyebrows and eyelashes grow back, right? That sweet breeze turned into a 25 mph gust and blew flames toward my face. Thank god I had my hair in a ponytail. And now I don't have to pay for that eyebrow waxing.
Yesterday was lovely as well. Mrs CB finished up her gardening and spent the rest of the day writing up her final exams (10 sciencey essay questions?! Somean)while I read/watched TV. I got up to grab a drink and walked in on this:
I had gotten some kitty weed out to roll the boys' new toys in and I put it on top of the fridge. Artie found it and decided to dose himself. He then rolled on it and encouraged the other cats to do the same.
We swept up what was on the hard wood, but left the carpet alone. Greyson was still rolling on it this morning with a goofy kittygrin on his face.
I think I'll grab a shower and then take a walk with the camera. We have a "Superstition" Iris almost open-it is a black iris and my absolute fave.
