Sep. 1st, 2005 10:26 pmMrs. CB and I had been planning to go to Chicago using some of my back-pay. Not now. With the destruction and devastation that Katrina has delivered, we decided to find a less expensive State Park to visit and take a chunk of the vacation fund and donate it to the Red Cross. I can't give blood, I can't drive down there to assist in the rescue efforst so I do this. I haven't felt this helpless since 9-11.
Met Daddy#3 at Max and Erma's today for lunch. Just as we were finishing, we looked out the window and saw the place was surrounded by cops. Then they came into the restaurant with their guns out looking arouns while we all stared back at them. Apparently, they had gotten a signal that the place was being held up. Note to self: No more Max and Erma's on Rt 161. I also found out that my half-brother and his wife are expecting their first child. I am gonna be an aunt again, kind of. I really need to reach out to Mike and his sister and attempt to form a relationship with them. I don't know if they want that, but I know that I do.
And lastly, my sweet boy Bruin had the hiccups today. I can tell you all that scaring a cat does indeed rid them of the hiccups. And gives them fluffy tail.
