I just put a sparkly new handle on the toilet (Mrs. CB is a compulsive over-jiggler)and the only time I cussed was when Artie jumped up onto the sink and sent a metal bolt to my face. That is major progress for me. My next home improvement is to strip, sand and refinish a big-ass desk that is in the basement. I really want to set up an area I can go to write and Mrs. CB can go to do artsy shit. Of course we both acknowledge that we'll just lose the space to the furry bastiges, but we'll give it a try.

I have an outline to work on, gonna really try to re-immerse myself in the fanfic writing world. I don't really know why I stopped, except that I found making fan vids a bit more representative of what I want to express in my fic, especially my Alex/Olivia video. We'll see how it works out.

Mrs. CB and I spent Saturday evening (post-tornado)watching 70's television shows: Wonder Woman, The Secrets of Isis, and The Bionic Woman (the original). We had a blast and I can't believe how much I enjoyed these shows, even 30 years later. Now I need my some Electra Woman and Dynagirl.

I have had migraines off and on for the past 5-6 weeks. I love the prettiness of summer, but not the heat and humidity and the OMG! allergy craziness, especially this year. That cordless driver-drill I got for Christmas is looking like the best solution. I can't wait for winter...

My roomie bought the Isis dvds, but I haven't had a chance to watch them yet. Sadly, I don't remember the show, though I do remember watching Shazam.

Just an opinion from one woodworker to another - you don't have to strip first before you sand and refinish the big ass desk - sawdust will get into the darndest places.

Unless that is, you're wanting to put on a show for Mrs. CB.

Just me, but I recommend clothing.

BTW thank you so very much for the link to the NPR interview with Lucas. It was very funny to listen to. I was having a ROTTEN day and now that I have had a laugh I'm better.
