Kitties Update

For those interested in a kitty update, Artemis is doing so much better it's hard to believe he was at death's door just seven days ago. He is almost back to his annoying sweet little self. He and his brothers have survived the first round of flea treatment. How arrogant were we to assume that because our cats didn't go outside they would never get fleas? Greyson and Bruin had fleas as well-the twins did not. Funny, these three are the ones who like to take the Kitty Limo out trolling for Kitty Ho's ;)

We are now using Sensitive Skin food (no wheat gluten, beef) as well as watching the flea thing to see if that is what triggered Artie's skin problems. We are also hoping that this, as well as combing about 2 lbs of kitty fur/flea dirt/dandruff off Greyson will help his sensitive back.

He licked away all of that fur- it is starting to come back now and his O/C licking has calmed down.


Artie and his "tan line"-that shaved area will come in handy on Tues when I have to take him for more blood work and Xrays.

Uhmm.
We should probably mention that we thoroughly clean the counter and sink for food preparation and that CB has been tolerating having him on the counter because he was sick.

We have windows open and they can sneak in the cracks in the screens and Mrs. CB thinks she probably dragged some in from the garden. Then there is MamaCB (who has outdoor pets) who visits a few times a year.

I'm sorry Bo has been texting Artie so much...ever since they joined that Compulsive Grooming support group....::sigh:: Despite his patchiness, Artie's lookin' good, though!

Is that a particular brand? Wellness is pretty good in that regard too...their canned stuff has no grain or gluten.
