Sep. 26th, 2006 07:28 pmSo, with all the ass-biting and smelling of ass involved in my last post, I forgot to mention that I am also on antibiotics and therefore, cannot drink for the next 13 days :( Of course, I probably will anyway, after all, Mrs. CB's bday is coming up. And who doesn't want a drunken CB for their birthday ?
I am really enjoying the convenience of working in a large hospital. I went to see my doc at lunch yesterday, and as I got there, realized that I had left my wallet at home. No money, no checks, no cards. I checked in and started to tell them that I would mail a check for the co=pay when the receptionist informed me that I actually had a credit that would cover my co-pay. Really?! Who the fuck has a credit at their doctor's office?
So with the doc bill taken care of, I then realized that I would have to go home, get my wallet, THEN go to CVS and get my drugs filled. But no, my friends. I work in a hospital...that has a pharmacy...that lets you charge druggage and takes it out of your pay. I got through the whole day spending 50 cents on the parking meter.
Work is going very well. I have received my 2nd Service Star Award this month...just a little thank you for doing something to promote good customer service. So that makes a total of 2 service stars and a "thank you " of movie tix in the past 5 months. They really know how to treat employees well, and I am still a little surprised by it all. I was also asked today to help assist another Project Manager which was tedious, but much more enjoyable than answering the phones all day. Somedays I really miss the tech work, the "brain" work, and then there are other days when I am happy taking calls and surfing Teh Net. Those days are called Fridays :)
Oh, and I have started walking from my parking area to the hospital instead of waiting for the shuttle bus-probably about a half-mile each way. Doc said I gained a little weight. I told her I was calling INS. I am also eating oatmeal for breakfast. I am SO gonna miss that cafeteria when we move off-site next year.
Okay, enough about my fat, whiney (wine-y) ass. How are all of you?
