Anybody watching the new Lifetime show, Army Wives and picking up on Teh Hoyay potential between Kim Delaney's Claudia and Catherine Bell's Denise? Just me, huh ;) There was one scene from last night's ep where I kept yelling at the TV, "Now kiss her, dammit!"

This is a pretty decent show although everywhere I turn, people keep comparing it to "Desperate Housewives"...yeah, aside from focusing on a group of female friends, these shows are nothing alike. DH has Marcia Cross, but AW has Kim Delaney and OMG!, KD is not drunk bloated! Catherine Bell is freaking gorgeous and should play a nudist, although I have to admit, I preferred the character she played on JAG better than domesticated Denise. Course, it IS early days...The gal that plays Roxy always grabs my attention when she is on screen- she has kinda of a "Kyra Sedgwick and Amy Sedaris had a baby" look to her and damn! but she is smoking hot in a thong. Rounding out the crew with Pamela and Roland... both of whom I can't seem to find interesting, is Joan, Roland's hot, but fucked-up Lt. Col. of a wife. Girlfriend can make me stand at attention whenever she wants.

Anyway, just keeping myself amused while my back recovers from whatever the hell I did to it.

I'm not surprised, my child, to find, er, "Hoyay" possibilties on "Army Wives." Katherine Fugate is one of the principal writers for the series, and she is the writer of perhaps one of the most beloved Xena episodes ever written. Yes, I am referring to "When Fates Collide." She says on the commentary on the DVD that she wrote it as if the two women were lovers, and that all the writers and producers told her that that's the way they were playing it in the sixth and final season. They were pulling out all the stops, as it were. I wonder if Ms. Fugate isn't a bit Sapphically-oriented, herself. It is difficult to say . . .

Good day and good grammar.

It would appear that the lovely sister has picked up on the sisterhood as well, baby.
And your definition of Roxy is "spot on, love."
