cabensonSitting here at work, bored out of my mind. I wouldn't mind working the weekends if there was actually enough WORK for more than one person to do. I suppose that will be brought up again this week-Management did not get good results for the Employee Satisfaction Survey we participated in a few months ago. Maybe if they hadn't badgered us to complete the damn thing. Now they are asking for suggestions on how we can work better as a team...uh, get rid of the problem employees on each shift that suck the good and light out of the world?
So, how are all of you? Have you gotten your flu shots yet? Do it soon! I have spent the past week recovering from a mini vaca...good times, yo! Starting to get the house ready for winter-Mrs CB is already working on the gardens. Gonna need to get my Halloween stuff out next weekend. Have yet to decide on a costume. I thought Carol Anne and the medium lady, Tangina from Poltergeist would be fun. Mrs CB is still contemplating. I still refuse to be the Harry Potter to her Snape!!!!!
Been hanging with the kitties lately. There is nothing more wonderful than a cool day and a snuggly cat. Bruin has been pissier than normal, probably because I was gone for 2 whole days. Artie has rebounded beautifully from his hairballed intestine. And I am ever so grateful as he is such a snuggler. And a little shit. The Twins continue to be awesome- Smokey has been hitting the litterbox more than he was, exception being 10:50 last night. I got crapped on, and not just by my Buckeyes. Asher continues to be the best alarm clock ever. There is a price to pay tho-I have to comb him every morning when I get out of the shower. He stands on the toilet (lid down, of course) and puts his front paws in the top of the tank. Then he bitches till I comb him. And I do. I'm whipped. And finally, Greyson, aka Fat Bastard. He has been sleeping with me lately, probably so I can protect his whiney ass from the other cats. Friday night, I accidentally kicked him off the bed. He just climbed back up the kitty stairs and went back to sleep. Yes, we have kitty stairs-the beds are high and the cat, he is low. And slow. And has bad hips.
TV season is notsobad this year. We have a date every Tuesday night to watch GLEE, and in January, V will be back. Trying to stay with the event, but I don't know. BONES and BIG BANG THEORY keep us occupied on Thursday as does THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY on Wed. I happened upon an ep of L&O:UK yesterday on BBCA. Not bad.
With my 3-day weekend next week, I am gonna see if I have enough stuff organized to attempt NaNoWriMo. If not, I'll start working on THAT story for EP 2011. I do have 2 vids to work on as well...
