We got a call late last night. My niece, Jasmine, who's 13th bday is a week from today, is having emergency surgery this morning at St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Louisville, KY. They discovered a tumor between her bladder and her bowel and they are removing it and testing for malignancy. It is large enough that they could not find her uterus on the imaging tests they did prior to surgery. Any kind thoughts sent Jazzy's way would be greatly appreciated. I am sticking by the phone as I cannot travel that far by car. Thanks!


ETA: It's 5:41pm ET and still no news. She didn't go into surgery until 1:00pm, so we wait. Thanks for all your kind thougths- Mrs. CB and I , well mostly me, are hanging in there, but not knowing is killing us.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your niece and your family. She is in good hands at St. Jude's. My friend's nephew had his cancer treatments there, and the staff is top notch. Hoping to hear good news soon.
