After getting a wonderful night's sleep, Mrs. CB and I fortified ourselves with strong coffee and breakfast at Roxy's Deli home of delectable cheesecake and brownies to die for. Then in an idiotic repeat of NYC 2006, we proceeded to walk from 43rd Street upto the American Museum of Natural History. Wow! Here are a few pics under a friendly cut:

I didn't know they had fossils of my mother-in-law...

I'm not the only one researching The Big Bang

After the museum, we walked across the park and then walked back to 52nd street (stopping at the Lindt's store to buy CHOCOLATE!!) where we had lunch at Bobby Flay's new retaurant, Bar Americain. I had Buttermilk Flapjacks with Apricots, Pecans, and Maple Syrup while Mrs. CB had Crawfish and Crabcakes with Poached Eggs and Hollindaise. True to our experiences at Mesa Grille, the food was fantabulous. There is even a dish called "Miss Stephanie's Biscuits and Gravy"! We tried Ginger Reposados-a delicious drink that was the beginning of my booze downfall for the day. Seriously!

Back to the hotel for a brief nap, then we prepared for another evening out. We decided, based on the lovely meal (and sangria) we experienced in 2006, to return to Meson Sevilla for our pre-show dinner. We mistakenly? ordered a full pitcher of sangria and decide to just get tapas for dinner. Chicken Villaroy, Croquetas, Empanadas, Mozarella arillos, and tigres. Delicious and the sangria? So refreshing. Then there were the desserts: I had crema brulee (per usual) and Mrs. CB had what I can only describe as a Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream Bomb. I was so buzzed and edging on a sugar coma that we had to go back to the hotel for a brief nap prior to seeing Mrs. CB2 in Talk Radio.

After my nap, we walked 3 blocks to Longacre Theater to see Liev Schriber and Stephanie March in Eric Bogosian's Talk Radio. We had ideal seats and for benefit of my flist, I shall put my review behind a cut:

The set was perfect for this stage-main stage was the studio with the production offices behind windows in a soundproofed area. Liev was brilliant! I was convinced that he was raging drunk and completely out of control at the end of the play.

Stephanie March was absolutely gorgeous! Most of her part was played out behind the soundproofed barrier which was not a bad thing. Now I have heard all of those people that claim SM is a "wooden actress" who has a stiff delivery...and after seing her in this role, I am afraid I have to agree. I think she did beautifully with the rare comedic line, but this is not the perfect role for her. SM really needs to tap into her comedic gift-her dry delivery doesn't do justice to a dramatic role such as Linda. Hopefully, someone will cast her in a part that will compliment her abilities.

Peter Hermann (aka Mr.Mariska Hargitay) was also in this play and well, all I can say for him is damn is he tall.

Overall, the play was brilliant. The realtime portrayal of Barry's emotional digression was Tony Award worthy. And as Mrs. CB put it, all the other characters were wooden and flat compared to Barry'e emotional fireworks.

We decided against waiting for SM at the stage door-it was absofreakinglutely freezing out and we were too tired from all the drinking. So back to the room and that Heavenly Bed for a wonderful night's sleep.

I'm not drinking, I swear!

know! Mrs. CB was trying so hard to keep me on the straight and narrow-I think she drugged my sangria so I would be too tired to stalk wait around after the show.

The food at BA was great, but if I am gonna give that tool belt my money, I prefer Mesa Grill.

Maybe we should write SM's next role. A B-List actress who leaves a hit show only to start receiving letters and gifts from an "adoring" fan who-wait for it- thinks they are MARRIED!! What do ya think?
