1. I make all of my own clips using ImTOO DVD Ripper 4 that I bought online. About $30-40, but all you do is stick the dvd in , label the chapters and it rips to whatever format you desire.
2. I edit my vids with ULead VideoStudios 10, a program that I bought at a local CompUSAS. You import your clips, your music, add effects-it's very user friendly and I am slowly learning how to do more with the effects as I make new vids. Most PC's come with Windows Movie Maker, and while I really like theur effects, the program ultimately craps out.
3. Yeah, I do storyboard. I hate vids where people take the lyrics very literally or just slap clips together. I take the lyrics then spend a couple days agonizing over what clip represents the best visage for that particular part of the song. I also try to edit the timing of the clip to coincide with beats of the music. My latest, "What Hurts Most" is up at my site and I was very pleases with how the music and the vid action melted together.

Wait! A WINDOWS APPLICATION CRASHED?! Impossible, I say!
But seriously, Linux comes with so many video editors. And it is all, of course, freeware, which is always a good thing. I actually crashed my movie player in Linux once. It gave me the error "MPlayer has crashed. This shouldn't be happening."

What program do you use? Where do you get your clips? What's the best way to get clean, (crap free) clips?
do you story board?
Muchas gracias.

Hope this helped.
