If you have Windows Media Center (probably the only slightly-useful product made by Microsoft since...MS Paint), you can actually burn DVDs as *.vob files, which is the format all DVDs are saved as. This way, they can play both on computers and on actual DVD players.

and I will burn a dvd for you-it will be WMV, so you can only play it on your pc. BBC America is showing ads for it-I think it starts next month.
