My (not-so) Massive Update

Damn...almost 10 days since I've posted. I assure you that I have been very busy and not a drunken, lazy slag. Really!

Okay, on with the update:

The new job continues to be new and great. I made it through the "90" day period and still have a job. I am anxiously awaiting our move off-site (to alleviate my shuttle-bus woes) but that is 6-9 mos away.

Mrs. CB continues to rock. I keep telling her she deserves someone better than moi, but she just smiles and hands me another pill.

The cars are great-we both traveled to our respective mother's home last weekend and were both pleased with the cars' performances.

Teh Wound has finally healed and I am back to consuming booze like it's going out of style.

I was able to spend last Saturday with my 15 yr old nephew, 14 yr old niece and their ev01 7 yr old brother. Does anyone know what the signs are that a child will grow up to be a serial killer? I was pleasantly surprised with my niece's new level of maturity-she immediately asked my opinion on the Isreali/Lebanon fighting, told me that one of her best friends is gay and how she supports her 100%, and then she went and wone me a "pimp stick" at a local festival.She also mocked emo kids and seemed thrilled that her old aunt blogs. My older nephew has adopted that seventies "shaggy" hairstyle and he looks marvelous! He will keep it long for a while-he wants to get into Annapolis and it will be ass-short then. The younger one is...honestly? He's as cute as can be but he's just an evil little bastard.

Teh Wound healed just in time for me to suffer a small setback with my lower back. It's much better now, but Mrs. CB and I are facing the reality that I will have to have a fusion done at some point in the next 5-10 years. At least we are hoping we can hold off that long.

George W. Bush is a fucking idiot!

Mrs. CB and I had a wonderful dinner with a co-worker of hers. Great food and like-minded political discussion makes for a lovely evening.

A member of the Ohio Republican Committee sent out an email suggesting that Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland and his wife are Teh Gays. He was fired and even more people recognize that Ken Blackwell is fucking insane. The Ohio race for Governor is HUUUUUUGELY important to the 2008 Presidential election because Ken Blackwell, as Secretary of State and Ohio Republican in charge of Bush's campaign in O-HI-O, was the person who helped Bush steal Ohio in 2004.
