Yesterday there was an explosion at a power plant in our area that resulted in 35,000 people losing their power. We missed out on that joy by one block. Our cable did go out (Oh noez!!11!) but everything was perfectly fine when I got home from work.

Today, the phones are out. So, if you were panning to call me, better try the 800 number. Sure, it will cost you more, but I'm worth it. You know I am.

Mrs. CB is out visiting with academic people and getting the final lowdown on the adjunct teaching gig she starts in January. Then she is hitting a HS girls bball game, so I am left to my own devices this evening.

Sometime between Thanksgiving morning and Friday afternoon, the scroller on my mouse died. So out we went to find a new, more ergonomic mouse for my large lesbian hands as well as a larger keyboard. No luck with the keyboard (maybe Santa will bring it with my cafe latte colored whores), but I did find a nice mouse. Scrolls sideways. Uh huh. That's right. Still getting used to it but so far, so good. Much easier on my wrist which starts it's Season of pain when we get our first snow.

Off to scoop some kitty poop then I! MUST! work! on ! essay!

Do pretzle rods go well with Cabernet? Just planning dinner.
