cabenson | Job Update

It is now official! I was offered the opportunity to transfer to another subdivision of my department and today I accepted. I will leave behind the world of Chlamydia, Herpes and Influenza (farewell, bitches!!) to tackle the dregs of clinical microbiology: Gonnococcus (Teh Clap), Strep and Parasites in da poop. I will also be saying farewell to rising at the fucking ridiculous hour of 3:30 am and saying hello to sleeping in and getting to work with my hair dried. I am going to be working 2nd shift but will have 3 nights a week off, including Fri and Sat...not bad at all. I will change jobs startin Nov. 27th.

I am excited about switching shifts and learning something new...well, not new, but something untouched in 10 years. I will also be able to return to an institute of higher learning to continue seeking the ~~carnal~~ knowledge my heart desires.

Of course the downside is that I will not see Mrs CB for a three-day period each week. Or is it? I think it will take us back to the days when we were dating...you know, those few weeks after we met before we moved in together? And she will have three nights each week to work on her Thesis From Hell and other non-fiction writing that she so enjoys.

Best thing...morning television with the cats and my coffee. Priceless!
