cabenson: (Question of the day)

We had a wonderful discussion at work today about music from the 70's, so I thought I would pass the following question on to my flist:

What is your favorite 70's tune and why? Does it inspire feminist empowerment? Does it remind you of a specific socio-political event? Does it tempt you with the evils of sex, drugs, booze and...disco? Does it make you want to grow a 'fro?

Tell me, tell the world. And if you didn't grow up in the 70's come her so I can smack ya with my cane, what 70's tune is your favorite golden oldie?

Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain and Tenille always reminds me of going to the beach in the summer. Anything by Donna Summer generally reminds me of the 70's and watching my older siblings practicing the Hustle. Oh, and Gladys Knight and the Pips, only we called them Gladys Knight and the Pimps.
