Confession of my Conviction

Mrs. CB is visiting her family and I am doing something I have wanted to do for some time. That's right, people, I am FINALLY watching my beloved Alex Cabot in Conviction. Believe it or not, I never watched the show. I know! I suck! I just couldn't get into watching Alex Cabot without Olivia Benson on the screen as well. I am enjoying the show but then again, I just finished a bottle of wine. I really need a soundtrack for this show- the music is awesome.

In other news, I spent the majority of the day fixing Mrs. CB's PC and finding the missing SVU eps I needed. Now I need to find a free program to convert the MPEG-4 vids I dl'd. I think I am falling in love with this pairing again. I already have a story in progress, but damn...I miss them! I really wish they would bring Alex nack to SVU for forevah!

Really, I need a sixsome- Alex, Olivia, Helen, Nikki, Sam, and Janet. Shit, through in Vala and make it a sevensome. Hmmmmm......

I loved Conviction. What a great show. I still have the final episode on my DVR unwatched. I don't want to see it end!

I made it through five eps before the wine (and the DeskSex!) did me in. I'll gallantly attempt to finish them today.

I was a little disappointed with Alex on Conviction. It's like they forgot a parts of the character (which reminds me, I wanted to go back to the ep where she has sex in her office and see if they put a scar from where she'd been shot). I just didn't get my fill of that oh so sexy bitchiness. But I did watch the show...and I did actually enjoy it (yeah, I wanted to slash her with Finn).

OMG that sixsome sounds...*dies* I can do without Vala, but the rest...YUMMY!

That whole scene just reeked of bad acting and you are right, bad continuity.

I can only slash Alex with Olivia...and occasionally, Liz when I am feeling extremely evil.

I got to a point where I couldn't slash Alex with Olivia anymore, and started slashing her with Liz just b/c it seemed more plausable in my mind. However, now I've gotten to a point where I don't slash Alex with Liz anymore, because of my Liz/Casey stuff. I suppose I wrote all of the A/L stuff I needed too, and ended it for them in fic. In my twisted universe, Alex is dreadfully single right now. Lol.

It's also strange, because I roleplay Alex and Casey, and I'm playing Alex as straight (even though I'm convinced she's politically bisexual).

And I agree with you about that scene...totally doused in bad acting on top of a little bit of bad writing.

Oh, I forgot something...

I'm writing my Master's thesis on slash and femslash in SVU, SG1, and The West Wing. Your stuff is good, and I really want to pull from authors that, you know, can write. Since a) you're awesome and b) you write in two of the fandoms, that's a huge score for me.

I know I technically don't have to ask as long as I cite, but asking is always nice...so, do you mind if I use some of your pieces as part of my analysis? Also, would you mind answreing a few questions about why you write femslash for those two shows if I sent them to you (and I'm not even sure if I'm going to do this yet)?

No problem, although I haven't actually "written" any SG-1 yet. I am working on two pieces, and planning a "Hoyay Hall of Fame" for Janet and Sam, but who knows when they'll be done. I have only done vids for them so far, so I guess I have vid-slashed them.

The other fandom I have written for is Bad Girls.
