This has been a very odd morning.
First odd thing? I was up before 8:00am. That never happens on a Sunday. I actually read the paper before Mrs. CB did.
Second odd ,but in a totally sweet way, thing? Our neighbors. A little back story- last fall we had tix to see Spamalot when it was in town. I was really sick so we called them and asked if they(a gay couple in their late 40's-mid 50's) wanted to go. They were thrilled, not because I was ill, but beause they had wanted to go and thought the tix too expensive. And it was B's birthday. So it worked out in the end and they loved the show. As a thank you, they sent us a sizeble gift card to the local movie theater. We were thrilled, thanked them and went about our business.
Five months later, they stop by our house to talk big screen TV's and gaming systems. I was jabbering (had a few 'ritas) about wanting a Playstation 2 as they discussed their recent purchase of a PS3. In fact, the next day, Mrs. CB took me out and bought me a Playstation 2 as an early Bday gift. We decided we aren't ready for a PS3...yet.
This morning, they come over with...a Playstation 2 for us. They had wanted to give us something more because the tix were costly. We giggled as I mentioned our recent efforts to boost the economy via tech purchases. He was cool about it and took it back home-they'll either keep it or donate it to a youth group.
Ten minutes later, someone is stuffing something in our mailbox-I go out there and it's a Buzz game with the controllers. I busted out laughing. When they want you to have something, you WILL have it!
Third odd thing? It's actually NICE outside. I have a few windows open and the boys are diggin it.
Now time for a muscle relaxer. My morning stretches did absolutely nothing to help ease the spasms.
