My life is brilliant...

My niece does NOT have a large fibroid tumor. The negative path report does not jive with the clinical findings and they now suspect she has a type of neurofibromatosis. She is seeing 4-5 specialists tomorrow and having a complete body scan to see if any more tumors have begun. Two weeks from today, she is scheduled to have surgery, and it is very possible that if they cannot stop the growth of the tumor, they may have to perform a hysterectomy. Hard shit to face at any age, but as I have mentioned, she is only 13. She seems to be holding up wonderfully which is more than I can say for her 15 yr old sister who called me this weekend to vent. I swear, I am so glad I don't have kids. I'd be terrified of losing something I love so much, and tempted to tear that life right out of their asses when they act like, well...asses. I have promised them all treats from vacations and that will have to hold them till I can make it down there.

Speaking of vaca, we are finalizing plans and hopefully, we will be ready to leave first thing Friday morning. Start locking up your wives and daughters, Big Apple, CB's coming to town.

When we get back next Monday, I'll still have a week off. And what do I plan to do? WRITE!! I had to delay my Epic Proportions fic for Ralst's site because I just couldn't concentrate on it with all of the family drama. In the last few days, I have been preparing myself to write a new Ship Manifesto/Hoyay Hall of Fame essay on the only other pairing I love as much as Helen and Nikki from Bad Girls. That's right people, I am writing about the romance of theholyinnocent and Mrs. Holy Innocent. The booze, the rehab, the polar bear love. All the beauty, all the shame in typical CB fashion ;)

Actually, I am writing Sam/Janet from Stargate:SG-1 and this essay will be posted in my journal, but not submittted to Ship Manifesto-they already have a decent Sam/Janet essay.. I am doing research now to develop my own timeline and hopefully when I finish, I will have the outline for a story that has been brewing in my brain for months and months. I also have a few videos lined up so maybe, just maybe I'll get an update out of my website before I head back to work. So, if I have any Sam/Janet peeps out on my flist, please let me know if you are interested in filling out a quick and easy survey about this pairing (probably in the next few weeks). I will make a rare filter for you.

Work is gonna bust my balls this week. It is hard to believe it has been almost one year since I started at The Hospital. This week I will begin my first vacation, but I have a few long days to put in before then. Thank god for tequila.

Other news, my twins turned 5 a couple days ago. Such cute little bastards. really :)

ooo, I'm having trouble with verizon- (kicked off) and that's just annoying. 2nd try...

1. I am so glad the girl is going to be alright. She may have some emotional challenges ahead if the news isn't good... but she can eventually be healthy. And that means life and happiness and fulfillment. When there's life and hope- there's tremendous possibility for her. She can have a great future- and I am so happy about that.

2. You deserve a vacation! and so does SG-- you're gonna have a ball on your annual theater NYC retreat!

3. THI & Mrs. THI?... divine women! and hawt. Make it as raunchy as possible, please.

4. Sam/Janet- I know nothing about their story. But I LOVED your S/J video, so... cool.

5. Happy 1 year anniversary! You have, I see, now fully recovered from teh hell lab.

Sorry to hear about your neice. I am so out of the loop. I hope all goes well with her. Such a devestating thing for such a young girl to go thru. Most grown women couldn't handle that. She's a brave girl for sure.

I've been reading what you have posted about your niece, and just didn't know what to say, because I guess nothing really can be said that will make it much better. You and all of your family have my sympathies and best hopes.

I hope she doesn't either, but since this is a genetic condition that would be inherited... These tumors can cause blindness and deafness if they hit those particular nerves.

What your niece is going through is pretty freakin' amazing (and not in that good way). I'm glad the pathology didn't turn up the worst, but I'm sorry she's going through this. I'm glad she has such a supportive (her teenage sister aside) family.

Thanks. I think I set the older niece straight on how she should act. Unfortunately, they all come from broken military homes and there has not been a lot of stability in their lives. I kinda like the idea that she called me even though she knew I would call her on her BS. And she still loves me enough to send a card :)
