Hey ABC and Shonda Rhimes! You all need to take a lesson on how to write two women falling in love from CBS, cause they are rocking it big time.

I'm just getting into the "Otalia" storyline on Guiding Light. Olivia Spencer, heart transplant patient? Does she need a new doc, cause Erica Hahn is floating around somewhere. I need a crossover fic STAT, people!

And just a mere 13 hours and 30 minutes until Alex returns to SVU....not like I'm counting it down or anything.

And finally, I love Sheldon on BBT. Nuff said.

Oh, woman! I just got sucked into Otalia too. It's sooooo good, isn't it?

And I am jazzed for Alex tonight. Oh man! I normally make myself record it and watch the next day so I don't stay up late but I'm throwing caution to the wind tonight! I cannot delay the return o' Alex for one second!

I guess the accent wins, but as it's been a while since I got my Lahbooby fix, I'll have to go with CC for the moment, because she's acting her heart out playing a lovelorn Olivia.

Seriously, I think I have 20+ bottle of quality wine. It's just piling up and not being consumed. I think I might have to stop my wine club for a while. My apartment can't hold this stuff.

Forget about the remote. The moment I open my laptop, she thinks it's her job to come sit on the keyboard. And she has to check out the booze too. We might get a few drunky comments from her as well.

I tried to resist the Otalia, but with the untimely dismissal of Erica Hahn, I was a lost and lovely fangirl, and this show took advantage of that to suck my ass in.

Yes! I started watching at the kiss, and my first reaction was "Noo, not another gay panic storyline, can't handle that after Gray's Anatomy" but it was Crystal Chappell who I adored on DooL back in the day so I went looking for a little bit of backstory, and was still downloading videos at 5am, very relieved to see how much buildup had gone in to it. They've been planning this since January 2008. How cool is that?

I use the download helper extension on firefox to save otaliafan's youtube files as flv files, rumour has it that there's a youtube one that saves them as avi, i suspect that only works for youtube, download helper works for this huge range of sites.

Poolgirl is offering avi files and ipod ready files through 4shared.com at http://z8.invisionfree.com/otaliafans/index.php?showforum=6 , you need to register to access the boards, but it is completely, completely worth it - Otalia Central. There is also a good thread there listing all the eps they appeared in back to January 2008, and a link to a site that indexes every episode on youtube.

While I'm enjoying the Olivia/Natalia fic, I'm having a hard time getting into the show because.. well, I *hate* the lighting! HATE IT! But, I'm pretty sure I'll get over it. I started watching and I didn't realize Olivia was quite so.. boobalicious!

The lighting is a result of their severe budget cuts, I think. It has taken some time to get used to this style of production. Still beats the hell out of a glossy looking but shittily (is that a word?) written Hahn/Callie story.

i think i'm the only one who actually likes the style of filming. i mainly watch the show on cbs.com so i do realize it looks completely different on a regular television.

i guess i just like that it really feels more intimate. there's some really great shots of olivia in her hosptial bed during her whole transplant stuff and you just could not get the same initimacy with 3 cameras and a jib...you just couldn't.

anyway...happy flist people are finally watching! :)

While I agree on the style of filming. I think it looks more naturalistic and less claustrophobic than soaps that use studios only. But the lighting *shudders*, imo, they could do better even with the budgetary restraints.

Yeah, I knew it was because of budget cuts and I'd rather CBS do that with their soap lineup than cut soaps all together. It's just.. yeah.. takes some getting used to, even though I still think it looks like *crap*!

And I do get some schadenfreude-type glee at watching all the lesbians fans jump ship from All My Children and onto Guiding Light! Bitter? Who me?

I chuckled at your SVU countdown, but I actually figured by this time you'd have something posted about Liv seeing Alex again. So I'm disappointed for now, but have hope for the future.
